Pizzeria La Compagnia in Torrenieri has the best thin-crust Roman style pizza in Tuscany! I really mean this, we crave their pizza when away from Tuscany. The pizza menu has over 30 choices, but I urge you to try my favorite, the gorgonzola and onion pizza, it’s amazing. We usually have a starter and one pizza per person, but you can share a pizza if you also have a meat course. Besides delicious pizza, they have a full restaurant menu with starter plates, very good home-made ravioli and long pasta, and pork chops or steaks for the main course. The vegetable side plates are abundant; get a salad, beans or spinach to share even if you only order pizza for your meal. We drink wine but most people choose beer to go with pizza, and now you have a nice choice of local brews. You can also ask for olio piccante = hot oil to spice up your pizza.
Friendly service and warm hospitality offered by the family of Simonetta, Michele and Giulio. Come here for a delicious lunch or dinner. But remember that pizza is made in the evenings only and the pizza oven is hot by 7.30 pm. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Closed Wednesdays. Last visit in July 2017.
