Villa Ambra

This is a lovingly remodeled, solid and handsome farm house villa, once a mill in the countryside of the Ambra Valley located on the eastern edge of Chianti and half way between Arezzo and Siena. The recent renovation has respected tradition with the use of materials like huge wood beams, terracotta tiles and stone masonry, while bringing the villa into modern times with underground heating and air-conditioning; all-together making this villa a great place to stay throughout the year.

Pool, Garden and Pizza Oven at Villa Ambra

The villa is surrounded by wide lawns kept tidy and watered thru the summer. Terracotta pots with geraniums and petunias bring color into the pleasant garden and a very large swimming pool rests on a terrace behind the villa with views over the adjacent fields. On the pool terrace under the umbrellas is a large round table with a ceramic top surrounded by a dozen chairs where you’ll enjoy many al fesco dinners. Below this poolside terrace is the 2nd kitchen with pizza oven and bbq, with room to hold cooking classes. And on one evening the owners treat you to a dinner party where can make up your own special pizza!

Villa Ambra is an independent residence that sleeps 10 people in the pleasing and comfortable interiors. Furniture is chosen with good taste and the villa is very easy to settle into! On the ground floor is the large living room with a fireplace and spacious dining area opening directly out to the garden. The kitchen is well equipped and opens thru a wide archway into the dining room. Upstairs are five sizable double bedrooms (in two of these an extra bed can be added), each with private bathroom with shower or bath. The main bathroom has a Jacuzzi.

Amenities include a heated swimming pool with jet massage basin (7 x 17 metres – depth mt 1,40), 1 hectare of fenced park, ample parking, barbecue, washer and dryer, mosquito nets, safe, hi-fi, bicycles, air conditioning, satellite TV, DVD player, video recorder, dishwasher, oven, microwave, games for kids, internet connection wi-fi inside and outside, gps device access, pets allowed. Under the pool there is an annex with big barbecue , wood fired oven, large sink, sauna, gas kitchen with electric oven, dining room, bathroom and room with sauna and shower. During the cooler weather, the inside of the Villa has a constant temperature thanks to modern under-floor heating.
