La Fontana

La Fontana is an independent property sleeping 12 people in a large remodelled villa on 2 levels. Situated on a farm of 400 acres producing excellent extra virgin olive oil, the villa is set on a natural terrace overlooking the wide Orcia Valley below. Built as a farmhouse in the first half of the eighteenth century, La Fontana has been carefully remodelled by the local owners. Furnishings and decor are a good mix of comfortable sofa groups with arm chairs, local ceramics and antiques chests, and quality bedding in the bedrooms of the warmly painted interiors with terra cotta floor tiles and beamed ceilings.

The villa is surrounded by a large garden planted with aromatic herbs, roses and lavender. A covered terrace is equipped with tables and chairs where you can enjoy meals overlooking the valley at sunset. The pool also has a spectacular position with views far across the wide landscape. At the poolside you find a covered pergola and lot’s of lounges and sun chairs.

On the ground floor of the villa is a spacious lounge with fireplace, large dining room, large kitchen leading directly to the courtyard, one double bedroom with en suite bathroom with shower, one double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower and tub, and a twin bedroom with bathroom with shower.

On the upper floor you have a living room with fireplace, a big dining room with fireplace, a galley type kitchen, and 3 air-conditioned bedrooms: two double bedrooms each with en suite bathroom with tub and shower, one of which has hydro-massage tub, and one twin bedroom (best for children) with a shower bathroom.

Amenities include a swimming pool (6 x 12 meters) open from mid May to end of September, covered terrace and spectacular views, air conditioning in all of the ground floor and in the three bedrooms on the upper floor, spacious green areas, covered parking for several cars, satellite TV, telephone, washing machine, dishwasher, oven and freezer, free wi-fi inside the house. 0n request dinners can be prepared, extra cleaning services is available.
