Villa Cantone was recently renovated by the owners who wanted to preserve the authentic atmosphere from centuries ago, and also to include a personal collection of stylish objects from their years of travelling the world. Perfectly positioned on a small hill with a wide valley opening beyond, the villa enjoys a stunning panoramic view and is only a mile from the local village and few miles from the thermal baths of San Casciano dei Bagni. This secluded position protects your privacy and allows time for relaxation away from the chaos of city life.

The outside areas are carefully planned to ensure the guests can have a lovely time with dinner outside under the shaded pergola with attractive furniture and barbecue area, and taking it easy by the swimming pool on the sun chairs. The swimming pool has a retractable cover and is heated by solar panels, with a shower and a changing room a few steps away. The surrounding garden is planted with lavender and rosemary and features sitting areas with wide umbrellas for sunny days.

Ground Floor of Villa with 4 Bedrooms

On the ground floor is the long living area with comfy seating groups and an original fireplace, dining table that can sit up to 12 guests and a fully equipped kitchen, all connected by wide archways. There is also an interesting selection of books, from encyclopedias to novels for those who enjoy reading. From this area, guests have many points of access to the garden and the outside sitting and dining areas. Next to the common area, there is a nicely decorated bedroom with an en-suite shower-room.

On the upper floor you find the main sleeping area, with 3 uniquely designed bedrooms with en-suite baths. Two of the bedrooms are generously furnished with chairs and bookshelves while a the master bedroom is part of a larger suite with a specious living area and its own terrace offering spellbinding views far over the surrounding countryside.

Amenities at Elegant Villa near Village

The owners use the villa as their winter residence, and include for the guests the services of their housekeeper who ensures daily cleaning and weekly change of linens. The pool’s retractable cover keeps the water clean and from evaporating, and the pool is also maintained by the gardener.

Amenities include the swimming pool (45 ft x 12 ft – depth 4ft to 6ft) that is heated with solar panels, adjoining shower, toilet and dressing room.
