Ristorante da Nilo
Ristorante da Nilo in Cetona moved a few years ago from the narrow alley to a much better location at the end of the main Piazza Garibaldi. Osteria Vecchia was the name before, but we have always known it simply as “da Nilo“, after the owner himself. This beloved local eatery is now proudly in a newly remodeled building. The property also includes a popular bar with a wide covered outdoor area. Menu at Nilo’s has fresh seasonal and regional dishes. We especially love the delicious homemade pastas. Even it’s all superb food, it’s still a good value for money. Our last lunch there was in May 2019 and the ravioli and the lamb chops just delicious. The pici aglione had the intense garlic flavor that I crave for! Pici is the local pasta, a long hand-rolled spaghetti. Nilo’s restaurant closes on Tuesdays in low season only. Seating outside on the terrace at the main entry is best place for views over the piazza. Inside is a classy dining room. This highly recommended restaurant can get very busy so reservations are a must, especially for the terrace during summer evenings. Tel: 0578-239-040 ($$)**
