il Poggio is a country hotel and a horse riding destination with an excellent large restaurant. The location is in the south end of Siena Province at the village of Celle sul Rigo. This restaurant is comfortable and furnished with well spaced out tables. There’s also covered outside seating with wonderful views. It’s the perfect restaurant for long lunches and late evenings when you combine excellent food and wine with fun and conversation. Friendly waiters will help you with the menu. The skilled chefs prepare delicious local food, so it’s sure to please. I remember the beautiful plates and table settings at this most welcoming restaurant. Last visit May 2015.
