Villa Moro

Villa Moro is certainly an exceptionally well furnished home for up to 10 people.This independent villa is part of a vineyard estate set on a panoramic hillside. The estate overlooks a broad valley of farmland near an ancient village in central Siena Province. With several other villages in a 15 minute radius, you are spoiled for choice in restaurants and fun excursions all around. Pienza and Montepulciano are a short drive away, with only 20 minutes to the Autostrada for touring all of Tuscany. This gorgeous stone villa boasts 5 bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom. From beautiful furnishings and luxury bedding, to fine artworks and a spacious gourmet kitchen, it’s all there. Therefore Villa Moro is perfect for families and groups of friends to enjoy a relaxing vacation in this spectacular Tuscan vineyard setting. The rate is €6,930 per week, all year round.

Outside Dining and Pool at Villa Moro

The owner of Villa Moro built her pool long enough for swimming laps. The pool measures almost 18 meters long and 3 meters wide, about 55 x 10 feet. Several chaise lounges furnish the pool-side.  Facing the pool is a covered outdoor seating and dining area on the side of the villa. You also have the courtyard table for dining outside and pergola for shade. The delightful loggia is upstairs, which is our favorite outdoor “room” at this wonderful villa.

Inside Villa Moro near Montisi

Villa Moro has 2 floors with living areas on the ground floor and the bedrooms above. Covered pergolas shade the main house on the west and north sides. Finally, the sturdy masonry construction keeps the villa naturally cooler than the outside during the summer.

Living areas on ground floor

The ground floor has a large and well furnished living room and study. The dining room and kitchen are joined by a wide archway. The living room features a 2-sofa sitting group while the dining room has a large table fit for 10 people comfortably. The spacious kitchen is perfect for cooking together with an island work bench in the middle. It’s also great for holding cooking classes, demonstrations and wine tastings. Here you have fully modern appliances, open fireplace, vast variety of cooking utensils and equipment, and above all, beautiful table ware. Direct access to the courtyard ensures easy catering.

Courtyard at Villa Moro

In the courtyard you have dining table and chairs for outdoor dinners under shade trees. Storage buildings frame this rustic courtyard with a wonderful ornate gateway. From under a wing of the villa, you also have access to the pool. This area almost seems like a tropical conservatory. You are surrounded with plantings in pots, vines overhead, raised fountain and giant slabs of paving stones.

The 5 Bedrooms at Villa Moro

The 5 bedrooms upstairs are tastefully furnished. You find chests of drawers, dressing areas, beautiful art on the walls, and ensuite bathrooms. Exquisite sheets and bedding, and likewise, the soft towels in full sets pamper you to a comfortable stay. The big bonus upstairs is the open loggia living room with panoramic views. You also could fall in thrall with this relaxing covered terrace complete with chairs and tables. Because the owner of the vineyard lived here for several years, she left it fully equipped for also the guests to enjoy.

Siena, Pienza, Montalcino near Villa Moro

Location is in Siena Province, the beautiful center of Tuscany. Come here to be among the famous wine regions of Brunello, Chianti, and Vino Nobile. Similarly, the food here is just delicious. You can shop at the fresh food markets so you can cook at home. But you should also dine out at the many local restaurants. From this central location you can easily visit many of the top towns and other wine regions in Tuscany. Siena is almost 25 miles away, about 15 miles to Montalcino and just 10 miles takes you to Pienza.
