Trattoria Osenna, highly recommended restaurant in San Quirico d’ Orcia, with a wonderful setting for outside dining back in the courtyard under the enormous wisteria sheltering the terrace tables. Historical hints tell us that this location has served food for travelers since the 14th century. Certainly a lot has changed over the centuries and the current owners have expanded it to include a traditional restaurant, cafe and bar, plus the large courtyard where we always have our meals.
The owners have their own local farms producing meats and cheeses with 50 years experience in serving their own produce at the restaurant. Recipes are passed down from the grandmothers on how to make the best pastas and sauces. Lots to choose on the menu; food here is fresh and delicious. Their ravioli are some of the best I’ve ever had. Their steaks (tagliata) are aged tender so you can almost cut with a fork. Come for a memorable dinner to a place with a charming atmosphere.
